Responsible Growth vs. Developer Overreach
Growth must benefit the people who live here, not just the developers who build here. I will halt and review the Northeast Pickering expansion, enforce strict zoning on Liverpool Road, and ensure infrastructure and environmental studies are completed and verified before any approvals move forward.
Protecting Our Waterfront, Frenchman's Bay & Green Spaces
Frenchman's Bay and our shoreline belong to the community. I will pursue a fully funded plan to bring privately held portions of the Bay into public hands, strictly enforce zoning to stop creeping high-density development, and protect the trails, parks, and natural areas that make Pickering unique.
Property Taxes & Fiscal Responsibility
Property taxes continue to outpace household budgets. I will cap the City's portion of the property tax levy, end the practice of taxpayers subsidizing developer infrastructure, and order an independent audit of City spending within my first 100 days.
