UPDATE - City of Pickering's Freedom Of Information Request refusal - I have filed an official appeal and it's underway

I'm Shaun Rickard, candidate for Mayor, City of Pickering. As many of you know, the City refused to process my Freedom of Information request for Elexicon records, claiming it was “frivolous and vexatious.”

I don't accept that, and I'm not letting it go. I have filed an official appeal with Ontario's Information and Privacy Commissioner, and that appeal is now underway.

Residents deserve to see the primary records behind decisions affecting a major public asset like our stake in Elexicon — not a wall of denials. This appeal is about making sure the law is applied fairly, and that your right to know is defended.
